Judges 6:10

Deuteronomy 4:23

Hebrews 8:6
- But our High Priest has been given a ministry that is far superior to the ministry of those who serve under the old laws, for he is the one who guarantees for us a better covenant with God, based on better promises.
- If the first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no need for a second covenant to replace it.
- But God himself found fault with the old one when he said: "The day will come, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah.

2 Kings 17:15
- They rejected his laws and the covenant he had made with their ancestors, and they despised all his warnings. They worshiped worthless idols and became worthless themselves. They followed the example of the nations around them, disobeying the LORD's command not to imitate them.
Deuteronomy 13:1
- "Suppose there are prophets among you, or those who have dreams about the future, and they promise you signs or miracles,
- and the predicted signs or miracles take place. If the prophets then say, `Come, let us worship the gods of foreign nations,'
- do not listen to them. The LORD your God is testing you to see if you love him with all your heart and soul.
- Serve only the LORD your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him.
- The false prophets or dreamers who try to lead you astray must be put to death, for they encourage rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of slavery in the land of Egypt. Since they try to keep you from following the LORD your God, you must execute them to remove the evil from among you.
Exodus 19:5
- Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the nations of the earth; for all the earth belongs to me.
- And you will be to me a kingdom of priests, my holy nation.' Give this message to the Israelites."
